God has been doing at DCC....
Oct. 4- Tony Callies came to preach on "Love
is..." We had 15 people!
Sept.- 2 Baptisms and lunch at the Kietzman's
house after church. Praise the Lord!
March 27-28- Spring Rally with Tony & Dorothy
Callies! We had a wonderful time with the Callies.
They also came back May 8th. Thanks for ministering
to us!!
Feb. 20, 2009- Guest speaker Noah Buchholz taught
about Deaf in Romania. He also performed a great
ASL expression of the Creation story. Thanks for
coming!
Nov. 1- Deaf Encounter! 2 Ladies came and were
touched by God! They are now completing School
of Leaders.
Sept. 20- Picnic in the park. We had a good time
at Washington Park with a service and pot luck!
Sept. 7- We have our own classroom for Deaf church
on Friday nights! It's great having our own space
and no distractions.
July 13- Thanks to Pastors Marva and James! They
came to lead DCC during Pastor Rachel's maternity
leave. It was wonderful to have you!
March 14- WOW! 13 Deaf at the
More Lord service! Many faces we have not seen
in a long time came to worship together. Pastor
Marva also came from Bloomington with her husband
and associate pastors!
November 20- Night of Praise!
Five of us signed the song "Lord, You are
Good!" with the DVD background. Everyone
loved it- Great job, everyone!
August 23 & 25- Natasha and
Jared got married! Blake took the guys bowling
Thursday nite, and the ladies stayed home for
a shower. We had a houseful! The wedding was very
beautiful. Everyone enjoyed the ceremony and reception.
Contratulations!
August 5- Matt and Eva Barlow
came to visit. We had many visitors. They spoke
in the hearing AM services and also at a Deaf
PM service. What a great time! We hope to visit
them in Nicaragua again in the future.
May 10- WOW, 20 people @ Starbucks!
Hello to all, new and old. Welcome!
March 17- Rachel and Blake were
married. It was a beautiful day!
February 4, 2007 We moved to a
new building! iWorshipCenter is now at a beautiful
new bulding.
Starbucks night every month brings
different people in. We have met more Deaf, interpreting
students, and others. It is always a good time
of chatting with coffee!
May 26-27 we experienced another
"Encounter" weekend. Wow! God changed
everyone and His Spirit was amazing! We came back
with passion and excited to see God do great things.
Wednesday, April 5 2006, we baptized
3 more Deaf. They gave great testimonies. They
are excited for their new life with Jesus!
December 2-4, 2005 was the first
Deaf Encounter weekend. It was a GREAT time! If
you missed it, watch the calendar to see when
the next one will be.
Tuesday, November 15, DCC performed
a Deaf praise song at First Assembly of God's
"Creative Praise Night." Everyone loved
the loud bass, flashing lights, and exciting movement.
Our group had 6 performers.
Wednesday, October 12, we baptized
2 Deaf from DCC. God is giving you new life and
love every day. Everyone at First Assembly's service
stood and cheered Deaf style with hands waving.
It was very powerful.
October 8, DCC had it's first
wedding: Mr. & Mrs. Nersinger. It was beautiful,
with fall colors everywhere! Every person there
enjoyed the celebration of the new marriage. Congratulations!
June 12, 2005 was our first Deaf
service! We had a good group and everyone was
excited to see Deaf worship and ASL preaching. |
